BROOKSVILLE - Robbie Shields and Cody Lewis each blasted a pair of home runs as Pasco downed Nature Coast Tech 10-4 in a district semifinal.
Kenneth Statham (6-1) got the win for Pasco.
The game was close until Pasco scored four in the fourth and added three more in the fifth for the final margin.
Lewis led off the fifth with his second home run and Shields later added a two-run shot.
Nature Coast briefly led thanks to a three-run third. With two outs, Kenny Treverton was hit by a pitch, then reached third on a single by Brandon DeRespis. Mike Edwards struck out but reached first on a passed ball while Treverton scored. Victor Quinones doubled to score DeRespis and Edwards.
Pasco (21-4), which had taken the lead on Lewis' solo shot in the second, bounced right back with two in the fourth on back-to-back homers by Kyle Hobbs and Shields. Quinones came on to relieve Lowell Bebout for Nature Coast, then retired the next three to end the threat.
Hobbs gave Pasco a 5-3 lead with a two-run double in the fourth. Ryan Daniels relieved Quinones and Karppe drove in Hobbs with a grounder to first. Dominic Brown drove in Shields with a double to right.
Mike Dudek drove in a run for Nature Coast with a fifth-inning single.
"They (Pasco) know how to come back," Pasco coach Ricky Giles said. "They can swing the bats."
Pasco had 14 hits, including five home runs. Shields was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs.
In the late semifinal, South Sumter's Wes Gill (7-3) tossed a five-hitter to defeat Hernando 6-3.
