The stabbing was prompted by a Tampa woman complaining about her roommate's body odor and asking her to take a shower.

TAMPA - When a Tampa woman told her roommate to take a shower Sunday morning because she hadn't done so in more than a week, the roommate grabbed a knife and stabbed her, police said.

Pamela D. Taylor, 46, remained at the Orient Road jail Monday, held without bail, according to records. She was arrested on a domestic violence charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The woman who complained about the body odor, roommate Yvonne Marie Dudley, 45, was taken to Tampa General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Tampa police went to the women's east Tampa home at 2610 E 32nd Ave. about 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Police said that Dudley had been stabbed three times, with wounds to her back and left arm.
