WHERE: Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex, Gainesville.
SCHEDULE: Today - Florida State vs. Florida International, 2; Florida vs. South Carolina State, 5. Saturday - Winners meet at 4.
FAVORITE: The Gators (18-2) are the No.2 seed among the 64-team field. South Carolina State is making its first appearance in the tournament. Florida has advanced to the national semifinals 16 times in the past 18 seasons. Junior Jennifer Magley is ranked fifth in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and the Gators' lone senior, Zerene Reyes, is 13th.
DARK HORSE: FIU, ranked No.33, won its first Sun Belt Conference title. The Golden Panthers (18-5) are making their first NCAA appearance in three years. They beat Florida State on March 12 but lost 5-0 to Florida on Jan. 29.
