PRIZE MONEY: $10,000
ADMISSION: free
DRAW: 32 singles, 16 doubles
2004 CHAMPIONS: Singles - K.J. Hippensteel; Doubles - Ryan Haviland/Hippensteel.
THE SKINNY: As usual, this event will feature many of the world's notable up-and-comers. Last year's event drew acclaimed American youth Donald Young, who was 14 at the time and making his professional debut. Earlier this year, he won the Australian Open boys singles title and became the No. 1-ranked junior in the world. Among the top entrants this year is Atlanta native Scoville Jenkins, who in 2004 became the first African-American to win the USTA Boys 18s National Hardcourt singles championship in the event's 89-year history. That victory earned him a wildcard into the U.S. Open, where he lost to defending champion Andy Roddick in the first round at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Jenkins, 18, has a men's world ranking of 566.
