Don Mitchell has been named media director at Paradise Advertising & Marketing, St. Petersburg. Mitchell was senior media planner for FrontRunner Ad Group, Tampa.

PeakBiety Branding+Advertising, Tampa, announces these promotions: Rebecca Flora, creative director; and Glenn Horn, associate creative director. Flora was associate creative director and chief copywriter; and Horn was art director.


First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay, Tampa, announces these appointments: William "Mac" Fleming, senior vice president and chief financial officer; David Hudson, vice president and business development director; and Lois Ezell, vice president and operations manager. Fleming was director of internal audit services for Stogniew & Associates, St. Petersburg; Hudson was market manager for GTE Federal Credit Union, Lake City; and Ezell was operations manager for Madison Bank, Palm Harbor.

Susan Maurer has been promoted to senior vice president, Gulf Coast region business banking manager for BB&T, St. Petersburg. Maurer was vice president, Gulf Coast region business banking manager.


Gene H. Ford has been named construction manager for the Tampa division of U.S. Home. Ford was commercial supervisor for Bayonet Plumbing/Air conditioning, Hudson.


A&H Electrical Services Inc., Tampa, announces these promotions: Brad Pendergrass, general manager; Lisa Ezell, operations manager; and Dan Suggs, residential services manager. Pendergrass was commercial supervisor; Ezell was office manager; and Suggs was residential job foreman.


John R. Brandvik has been named West Florida district director for PBS&J, Tampa. In addition to his new responsibilities, Brandvik will continue to serve as Southeast construction regional service manager.

James W. Hunt has been named a senior project manager in the transportation division of TBE Group, Clearwater. Hunt was a project manager at Earth Tech in Jacksonville.


Helen S. Rimensnyder has been promoted to investment principal at Spencer International Advisors Inc., Clearwater. Rimensnyder was an investment associate.

Barbara Davis has been named vice president, national training and development, of Market Street Mortgage, Clearwater. Davis was vice president of Irwin Home Mortgage, Dallas.


Lisa Nummi has been named associate patient care officer at University Community Hospital, Tampa. Nummi was director of acute care services at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs.


The law firm of Carlton Fields announces the following shareholders have been elected to the board of directors: David R. Punzak, St. Petersburg office; Mark A. Brown, Chris S. Coutroulis, Richard A. Denmon, Ruth Barnes Kinsolving, Edgel C. Lester Jr., Luis Prats, Gary L. Sasso, Thomas A. Snow and Sylvia H. Walbolt are based in Tampa. Walbolt was named chairwoman of the board of the directors; Snow was named president and chief executive; Kinsolving was named secretary; and Denmon was named assistant secretary.

David T. Knight has become a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Knight is a shareholder at the Tampa law firm of Hill Ward & Henderson.

Susan A. Price has been named banker of counsel at the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, St. Petersburg. Price was claims manager for Bon Secours Health System Inc., Marriottsville, Md.


Judy Silverstein Gray received the 2005 JOC Alex Haley Award for news writing. Gray is media and public relations manager at the Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida, Tampa.


Deborah Wells has been named director of sales at OAI, Tampa. Wells was regional sales and operations manager for Mobile Mini Inc., Tampa.


Outback Steakhouse Inc., Tampa, announces these promotions: Nancy Schneid, executive vice president and chief brand officer; Joe Kadow, executive vice president and chief officer - legal and corporate affairs; Chris Olson, vice president of restaurant accounting services; and Karen Bremer, vice president of real estate.
