Last call for Diana exhibit
By Times Staff Writer
Published May 19, 2005
This is the final weekend to see the tastefully poignant "Diana, a Celebration." The exhibit, sanctioned by her family, features memorabilia from her childhood; a diamond tiara she wore on a magazine cover; many of her fashions, including portraits of her in the clothes; jewelry and personal effects, such as her Louis Vuitton luggage; the denim shirt and khaki jeans she wore for land mine inspections; and of course, the dress she wore when she wed Prince Charles on July 29, 1981.
The exhibit marks the last for the Florida International Museum in its current location. It will close for a move to a new spot nearby, scheduled for fall.
The museum is at 100 Second St. N, St. Petersburg. 727 822-3693 or www.floridamuseum.org Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The last entry is one hour before closing. $19.50, $15.50 seniors, students and military, $9 ages 7 to 12.
