DESCRIPTION: The project has 28 two-bedroom, two-bath units ranging from 1,000 to about 1,300 square feet and eight ground-level commercial spaces. Key West-style casitas on Fifth Avenue have one-story units on the first floor and two-story loft units on the top. The other units are like traditional Ybor buildings, with commercial space on the ground level and residential units above them. A dress maker, law office, mortgage office and offices of Ybor Realty are slated for the commercial space.
PRICE: The units sold out for $150,000 to $230,000. Three units are back on the market: a ground-level casita unit for $189,000; and two units on 20th Street for $225,000 and $235,000.
AMENITIES: Two-story lofts have open floor plans, and other units have 9-foot ceilings. All units have balconies, and available upgrades included hardwood floors and granite counter tops. Gated parking is in the rear.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "People want to live here because you're kind of in the middle of everything," said real estate agent Ron DeSantis, who was involved in the project. "You can walk to just about anything." Units have great views of downtown Tampa and in the morning you can smell coffee from the nearby Naviera Coffee Mill, he said.
TIMELINE: Construction began in 2003 and the grand opening with Mayor Pam Iorio was held May 10.
