PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Nick Gallauer, Jr., St. Petersburg. Finished regular season 10-1; won Class 5A districts in singles and doubles; advanced to semifinals of doubles in states.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Alan Turnquist, St. Petersburg

FIRST TEAM

MIKE BRADY, SR., ST. PETERSBURG: The senior captain helped lead the Green Devils to a second straight undefeated regular season; posted a 15-0 singles record and advanced to semifinals of doubles with Gallauer.

GEOFF GILCHRIST, SR., EAST LAKE: Handed Gallauer his only loss of the season on his way to a 14-0 regular season record; advanced to the Class 5A district finals, where he lost his only match of the season in a rematch with Gallauer.

NICK BERNING, JR., CLEARWATER CENTRAL CATHOLIC: Undefeated in singles and doubles play; won districts in singles and advanced to semifinals of states, where he lost to eventual champion.

GREG LECOMPTE, SO., ADMIRAL FARRAGUT: Finished regular season with a 9-2 record, with only two losses coming against Berning. Won Class 1A districts and lost in quarterfinals of regionals.
