The Bills' Scott Norwood sent a 47-yard field goal just wide right in the waning seconds. It was coach Bill Parcells' second Super Bowl title, and he quit soon after. It also was the first of four consecutive Super Bowl losses for the Bills.

Baltimore's defense, led by linebacker and MVP Ray Lewis, established itself as one of the league's best ever. The Giants mustered just 152 yards and turned it over five times. Former Buc Trent Dilfer was 12-of-25 for 153 yards and one touchdown for the Ravens.
