Two teens assaulted after gang color dispute

Two men were assaulted late last Friday night on Montague Street after an argument over gang colors.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputy said four or five men approached the 18- and 19-year-old victims at 11 p.m. outside the Charleston Corners clubhouse, 8525 Montague St. The suspects and the victims argued about gang colors, authorities said. According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspects then beat up both victims and used a box cutter to cut the eye, ear and hand of the 19-year-old victim before running off .
