TAMPA - Police were searching for a man who walked into Fifth Third Bank on S Dale Mabry Highway, demanded money from a teller and fled in a green Saturn.
The man entered the Fifth Third Bank at 1921 S Dale Mabry Highway about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, handed a note to the teller saying he was armed with a gun, then ordered her to put money in a bag, according to Tampa police.
The man left the bank and got into a waiting 1999 green, four-door Saturn, which witnesses told police was occupied by a man in the front passenger seat and a woman in the back seat. The car held a Florida tag of J86-REQ, police said.
Police described the bank robber, whose image was captured by video surveillance cameras, as a white man between the ages of 33 and 35, 5-feet-8, 160 to 170 pounds, with a light complexion, light brown hair, with a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a khaki hat, a black button-down shirt and khaki shorts, police said.
