Ruskin man dies after being hit by vehicle

RUSKIN - A 46-year-old man died of his injuries after he stepped in front of a vehicle.

Jackie Paul Sewell of Ruskin was walking south on Seventh Street SW in Ruskin about 9:45 p.m. Sunday when he stepped in front of a 2002 Subaru that was heading west on College Avenue W, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The Subaru was driven by Sharon Henry, 55, of Ruskin, the Sheriff's Office said.

Sewell was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he died about 5 a.m. Monday.
