Angry teen sics police on parents

WEST PALM BEACH - A teenager seething after an argument with his parents about school turned them in for allegedly trying to get him to steal appliances from a house under construction, investigators said.
Cody Quillen, 17, told police that his mother woke him up one night last month and asked him to help his stepfather steal a dishwasher and stove from the house next door.
Officers acting on a search warrant Friday found the appliances installed in the family's Port St. Lucie kitchen, and the parents confessed to their involvement, said Officer Robert Vega.
Michael Harrop, 38, was taken into custody on charges of burglary, grand theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Fern Harrop-Quillen, 42, was cited on the delinquency charge.
The boy was not charged.
No one answered the phone at the family's home Saturday. There was no immediate indication whether the parents have lawyers.
