A Tampa man was killed early this morning by a carjacker who matches the description of a man who committed suicide a half-hour later, police said.

Gregory Williams, 43, was found dead in his pickup truck after being carjacked by an armed man who police say entered an auto body shop at the 2700 block of E Hanna Ave. around 12:15 a.m. The man fired several shots in the air before carjacking Williams, who does not have legs and who drove the pick-up with hand controls.

At 12:40 a.m., Terah Hanna, 34, who police said matches the description of the carjacker, knocked on the door of his aunt's house on the 1900 block of E Crenshaw Street. When his aunt opened the door, he told her he loved her and shot and killed himself.

Tampa police are trying to determine if Hanna and the carjacker are the same person.
