Top five movies and upcoming releases

A look at what's happening in the theaters

TOP FIVE

Current movies recommended by the Times:

1. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - The Force is with us again. George Lucas wraps up his outer space epic in grand, occasionally gruesome, style.

2. Layer Cake - Daniel Craig's charismatic portrayal of a drug dealer trying to leave the business makes this British import worth seeking out.

3. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - Four best friends spend a consequential summer apart, keeping in touch by sharing a pair of possibly magical blue jeans. Uncommonly mature kids' stuff.

4. Cinderella Man - Russell Crowe's understated portrayal of boxer James J. Braddock carries Ron Howard's otherwise cliched Depression-era biography.

5. Mr. and Mrs. Smith - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie co-star as husband and wife, each unaware that the other is a hired assassin. Until they have to kill each other.
