TAMPA - Two northwest Hillsborough schools will welcome back former staff members as their new principals this summer.

Jake Russell, a former teacher and assistant principal at Sickles High School, will take over the campus on July 1. Russell, 33, has served the past three years as an assistant principal at Middleton High School, most recently in charge of magnet curriculum.

He replaces Nuri Ayres, who is retiring.

Angela Oliver, who served as Hill Middle School assistant principal for four years, returns to the campus as principal this month. She replaces Nancy Anderson, who is retiring.

Oliver, 41, has been principal at Progress Village Middle Magnet School since 2000. She lives in Carrollwood.
