DUNEDIN - Pinellas sheriff's detectives still were searching Friday for the man who shot a teenager in the face during a robbery Wednesday.

The teen, Carlos E. Ramos Jr., 18, of Tarpon Springs was shot just after 3 p.m. while in the parking lot at Lo Garto Apartments, 258 Milwaukee Ave. Sheriff's spokesman Mac McMullen said Ramos was improving Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.

Detectives hope to interview him soon, McMullen said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Sgt. Mike Madden at (727) 582-6200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477
