Pinellas Park all-stars heading to state finals

By Times Staff Writer
Published June 19, 2005

The All American All-Stars from the Shetland Pony League in Pinellas Park have earned a trip to the state finals and will be traveling to Perdido Bay, near Pensacola.

Pony baseball provides youth baseball to boys and girls ages 3 to 14.

The All-Stars will be competing with some of the best teams in the state. The tournament will be from June 24 to 28. If the team wins the state championship, they will advance to the World Series in Cumming, Ga.

The team is raising money to cover the cost of travel, lodging and other expenses. Those who would like to help can call Deborah Lorenz at 410-0079.
