NEW PORT RICHEY - A Spring Hill man was arrested Friday and accused of raping a 15-year-old girl and fondling another last month after he picked up the teens at a convenience store.

Andrew C. Marques, 28, was charged with sexual battery and lewd and lascivious conduct and taken to the Land O'Lakes Detention Center.

The girls told detectives that Marques picked them up at a convenience store in Holiday on May 29 and took them to a home in Shady Hills where he allegedly gave the teens alcohol and swam with them in a pool.

While in the pool, the girls said, Marques fondled one girl and had sex with the other.

According to the Sheriff's report, Marques admitted that he picked up the girls and brought them to his home. He denied having sex with the girls.

Marques checked out of the jail Saturday morning after posting $20,000 bond.
