LAKE PANASOFFKEE - TOOFAR will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the cafeteria of Lake Panasoffkee Elementary School, 790 County Road 482 N. Jamie Adams, columnist and environmentalist, will speak. There will be updates on the Lake Pan Restoration and Parsons Point projects. Louise Racine of Citizens Opposed to Rinkers Expansion will present information on CORE. Coast Guard Auxiliary to hold five-night boating program

CRYSTAL RIVER - The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 15-1 will conduct a five-night boating program from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from June 27 through July 14, excluding July 4. The program, which will qualify attendees for a Florida boater's license, will be held at the Crystal River Buffer Zone Headquarters, 3266 N Sailboat Ave. Call Dick Krause, 726-7318.

Church to distribute free government food

Yards and Neighborhoods to offer three workshops

LECANTO - The Florida Yards and Neighborhoods program will offer three more workshops this summer. The rain barrel workshop will be from 2 to 4 p.m. July 13 in the Citrus County Canning Center, 3405 W Southern St. Cost is $20, which includes all materials. Register by July 6. The butterflies and bats workshop will be from 9 to 11 a.m. July 15 at the cannery. Cost is $6. Register by July 8. The bluebird house workshop will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 26 at the cannery.
