PLANT CITY - One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash Monday night on Interstate 4 that shut down westbound lanes for hours.

The wreck happened just after 8:30 p.m. near Branch Forbes Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. One vehicle crossed over the median and slammed into two other vehicles. One person was killed and another was seriously injured, the FHP said.
