Illness interrupts teacher's sex trial

By Times Staff
Published June 30, 2005

LARGO - Opening statements in the trial of Mark Fronczak, the Southern Oak Elementary School music teacher charged with sexually abusing two students in his classroom, was delayed Wednesday because one of the attorneys in the case was ill.

Fronczak, 50, faces charges of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation, charges that could bring a life sentence if he is convicted. The trial is expected to begin this morning.
