DE FUNIAK SPRINGS - A single-engine Beechcraft V35 plane crashed on Sunday in a swampy area of the Panhandle, killing the pilot and injuring his teenage son, officials said.
The pilot and passenger's identities weren't released. "We don't know where they were going or where they were coming from," said Lt. Frank Owens of the Walton County Sheriff's Office. The teenager was airlifted to a Pensacola hospital, where doctors said he was in stable condition, Owens said.
