Power outages in Citrus County

By Times Staff Writer
Published July 10, 2005

About 2,600 Citrus County customers were without power Sunday morning, Progress Engery officials said. But crews have managed to restore service to all but 140 of them.

Those 140, mostly in Homosassa, should have power restored by 1 p.m., the utility said. Citrus officials said they received no reports of major damage from the storm.

On Saturday, radar showed a possible tornado near Floral City and another possible one near Beverly Hills, but no sightings or damage were reported.
