Escambia County sheriff's deputies are reporting at least one storm-related death from Hurricane Dennis. A man in his late 60s was found dead in his home in the Myrtle Grove area of the county around 11 p.m. Sunday night. Terry Kilgore, an investigator with the criminal intelligence unit, said deputies found a generator running in the garage.

"The residents had closed the door to keep the generator from being stolen," Kilgore said.

A cause of death has not officially been determined but Kilgore said it is believed to be carbon monoxide poisoning. Three other people in the house were sickened by the fumes, he said.

The Sheriff's Office is not releasing names or an address until the next of kin is notified.
