Beyonce Knowles and LaTavia Roberson were 9 years old when they met at an audition.
Shortly after meeting, the two preteens formed a music group called Destiny's Child in 1990.
Two years later, Beyonce's cousin Kelendria "Kelly" Rowland rounded out the group.
The trio celebrated its first official release with the song Killing Time from the 1997 movie soundtrack Men In Black.
The group released the self-titled debut album the following year, scoring a hit with No, No, No, produced by Wyclef.
In 1998 they returned with The Writing On The Wall, which featured two more successful singles, Bills, Bills, Bills and Say My Name.
In late 2000 they released another hit with Independent Woman, Pt. 1 (the theme song to the film Charlie's Angels).
The trio's third LP, Survivor, debuted at No. 1 and featured two more popular singles, Bootylicious and the title track.
Though rumors circulated that their group was breaking up, they reunited for Destiny Fulfilled, which was released in late 2004. Michelle Williams replaced original member Roberson.
"Destiny Fulfilled & Loving It Tour" is designated as the group's last tour. In a statement released to MTV News, the trio of Beyonce, Rowland and Williams announced plans to disband after their world tour ends in the fall.
Opening act is Mario, Amerie and Tyra.

"AGENT CODY BANKS': Cody Banks (Frankie Muniz) is a shy teenager, living with his parents and younger brother in a suburban house. He is also an undercover CIA agent assigned to date Natalie Connors (Hilary Duff) in order to be invited to her birthday party and spy on her father. "MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS': The wealthy Smith family has four beautiful daughters, one of whom falls in love with the boy next door. The family is later shocked when Mr. Smith reveals that he has been transferred to New York. VERTICAL HORIZON: Formed in 1991 by Georgetown University undergrads Matt Scannel and Keith Kane, acoustic jam band Vertical Horizon relocated to Boston after graduation. In 1992 it released the debut album, There and Back Again. "I AM MY OWN WIFE': Based on Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, the play I Am My Own Wife tells the story of a German transvestite caught up in the great European dramas of the 20th century. The protagonist struggles to survive during the Nazi regime and its replacement in East Germany, the Soviet-dominated Communist dictatorship.
