New singles group will meet on Mondays

The recently formed Newcomers Singles Group will meet 6:30 p.m. each Monday at Beef O'Bradys at U.S. 19 and Forest Oaks Boulevard, Spring Hill.

In addition to fun activities, there will be other meetings to discuss friendship and common interests. Single newcomers living in Hernando, Pasco and Citrus counties are welcome.

Spin-a-thon to benefit breast cancer fight

The Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk will conduct a three-hour spin-a-thon from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 27, at Fit to Last, 9703 Amilia Drive, Hudson.

Teams may consist of as many riders as desired, with someone on the bike at all times. There will be free T-shirts and hourly giveaways. The number of teams are limited. The entry fee per team is $200. Proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk.
