Personal pitcher of simple syrup.
The barkeeper's sweetener is now showing up on lunch tables in chic restaurants for use in iced tea. No sugar spills or unseemly spoon clatter. Okay, it's a silly trick, but if you want to make some at home, boil one cup of sugar and one cup of water until the sugar dissolves. Cool and refrigerate.
