WOODS WALK: The Chinsegut Nature Center will have its Big Pine Night Walk at 8:30 p.m. today at the center on Lake Lindsey Road, west of U.S. 41, north of Brooksville. The walk is free. Participants should bring insect repellent and a flashlight. For information, call 754-6722.

FISH AND PICKIN': The Istachatta General Store, 28198 Magnon Drive, Istachatta, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry and concert beginning at 4 p.m. today. The dinner menu includes fish or chicken, baked beans, grits, coleslaw, hush puppies and tea or coffee. The cost is $6.50 if reserved in advance; $7.50 at the door. CURTAIN CALLS

Stage West Community Playhouse will have auditions for its annual children's show, Bugsy Malone Jr., at 7 p.m. July 29 and 10 a.m. July 30 at the theater at 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. The production will include about 30 youngsters between the ages of 6 and 17. Those auditioning should have a prepared song. An accompanist will be provided.
