Two of the men charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in last month's shooting at the West Side Efficiency Motel in Hudson now are being implicated by authorities in a Port Richey home invasion robbery earlier in June.
Those men, 21-year-old Adam Terrance Jones and 19-year-old Carlos Oscar Fuentes, were indicted on murder charges July 15 along with three teenagers for the June 29 motel shooting, which left a man dead and a woman critically injured.
The Pasco County Sheriff Office says that Jones and Fuentes, along with a 16-year-old New Port Richey boy, broke into a home in the 7100 block of Coventry Drive in the early morning hours of June 25. The three held two residents at gunpoint while they stole cash and jewelry, deputies said.
One of the residents was struck several times on the face and head with a pistol during the robbery, deputies said.
Sixteen-year-old Denis Junuzovic was arrested Wednesday on home invasion robbery charges and was taken to the Pasco Juvenile Detention Center, the Sheriff's Office reported.
Jones and Fuentes had not been arrested on home-invasion robbery charges as of Thursday, deputies said. Those charges will be referred to the State Attorney's Office.
