Hot Tickets: Theatre Project students want to entertain you

Saturday is graduation day for the 175 students in this year's Broadway Theatre Project at the University of South Florida, and all of them get to display their talents in a musical revue called Broadway and Beyond.

The students, some of whom are pictured above during a class performance, will do songs from Broadway shows, including And The World Goes 'Round, A Chorus Line, Fosse and Company, and original songs, some of which were written during their three weeks at USF. The participants, who come from around the United States, Canada and Britain, will also dance and act.

Ann Reinking's program, now in its 15th year at USF, draws a wide variety of top stage and screen talent to Tampa to run workshops for the students. This year's teachers have included Jeff Goldblum and Ben Vereen.

The Broadway Theatre Project,'s Broadway and Beyond is at 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center's Ferguson Hall, 1010 N MacInnes Place, Tampa. $35. 813 229-7827;
