Rain reschedules classic car show

By Times Staff Writer
Published July 29, 2005

Since wet weather got into the way of the car show last weekend, organizers of Brooksville's No. 1 Stunner are trying to do it again.

Event organizer Ann Washington said last Saturday's rainfall kept away folks who wanted to bring their classic cars to the barbecue and music event in the field across from the Frederick Kelly Elks Lodge, on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, she plans to hold another food festival at the same venue. At 1 p.m. Sunday, there will be a softball game at Kennedy Park. The car show, which has prizes, begins at 5 p.m. Sunday in the field across from the Elks Lodge. For more information, call Washington at 263-5937.
