Transcending all others

Re: Armstrong reigning leader of the pack, Monday

Romano's right about Lance Armstrong's dominance. When the dust settles on sports history, I think the gifts of Koufax, Ali and DiMaggio will be seen as Armstrong-esque - not the other way around.

It's poetic that Armstrong used the organs most compromised by his cancer to transcend the human experience. Armstrong's athletic supremacy is about his heart, lungs and brain. His courage took our breath away.

Rays' brass can do better

Re: Rays fans strike out in food feud, Tuesday

The article about the couple who were kicked out of Tropicana Field (because of a few cashews) points out, once again, one of the problems people have getting excited about the Devil Rays. Baseball at the Trop is just not fun, thanks to their management style.
