Built-in relaxation

Add a little tranquility, indoors or out, with a tabletop fountain you make yourself. Beckett provides the kits underwater lighting kits too, available at garden centers. You pick a container or planter (the pineapple here is just one idea) and follow the directions on the Web site (www.888beckett.com) In about an hour you can relax to the soothing sound of bubbling water.

Final days for expo

The Tampa Bay Home Improvement Expo continues through Sunday. Hundreds of home-improvement, repair and design specialists are at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg to show off the latest in landscaping, remodeling, interior design, spas and pools, floors and windows, hurricane protection, furniture and decorating. Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $3, children 12 and younger admitted free.

HURRICANE HINTS

Carry identification if you have to evacuate. Police may set up checkpoints to allow only residents back into storm-damaged areas. You may have to prove you live there.

Don't use matches in a storm-damaged area until all gas lines are checked for leaks.

Have a camera or camcorder ready to record damage before you begin home repairs.
