HOMOSASSA - A man was arrested Saturday and accused of driving into his ex-girlfriend's car.

Richard E. Lee, 39, of 3316 S 23rd St., Tampa, followed the car with the woman and another passenger for several miles along Grover Cleveland Boulevard, then rammed the car, the arrest report states.

The woman told deputies she and the other passenger, not identified, were going to a restaurant when they noticed Lee following.

They turned on Grover Cleveland, he followed closely, then passed them and slammed on the brakes, she said.

Lee was arrested later Saturday at a relative's house. He was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of marijuana.

He is being held without bail at the Citrus County jail.
