  • For their own good

While everyone with a trust fund is away playing volleyball in Nantucket, we're right here in saunaville, feeling cranky and road-ragey, and, you know, only in the mood for taking a personal leave day and drinking icy white zinfandel out of the last clean coffee cup. That's how bad things are.

What better way to blow off steam than to hold a LOUSY AUGUST CAPTION CONTEST. Just send us a funny caption for this "based on real life" cartoon by Times artist Don Morris and win a free Blizzard from Dairy Queen, personally delivered to you in an icy cooler by an irritable editor me. Send submissions by Friday to jbarry@sptimes.com or to "LOUSY AUGUST," Floridian, St. Petersburg Times, P.O. Box 1121, St. Petersburg, FL 33731. Please remember to include your name, phone number and city. Specify favorite Blizzard flavor.
