TAMPA - First the two men were arrested Monday at a Wal-Mart in Hillsborough, accused of using counterfeit checks and fake drivers' licenses to buy gift cards and jewelry from the store at 6192 W Gunn Highway.

Then Hillsborough sheriff's detectives searched the home of David W. Pursell, 26, and the case against him and his alleged accomplice, 22-year-old Timothy H. Buchanan, grew.

Sheriff's investigators say they took from Pursell's home, 4401 W Oklahoma St., 11 computer systems and materials for making counterfeit checks and identification cards. They also seized drugs and drug paraphernalia from Pursell's home, a sheriff's report states. Pursell and Buchanan, who lives at 1712 W Arch St., are each charged with forgery, uttering a forged instrument, theft and possession of counterfeit licenses.
