Foster parents needed in Pasco, Pinellas

Imagine being taken from your home, not knowing where you will go, leaving behind your favorite things. Now, imagine this through the eyes of a child. There are more than 4,500 dependent children in Pinellas and Pasco counties, because of child abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many of them need loving foster parents. Revised evacuation map on county's Web site

Pinellas County Emergency Management officials have completed revisions on the evacuation level map and posted the revised map on the county Web site. Go to www.pinellascounty.org and click on "Check Your Evac Level' in the lower left column; or visit http://pubgis.co.pinellas.fl.us/hurricane_txt/ or call 464-4333.

Italian-American women meet on third Tuesday

The Italian-American Women of Today - LIADO will hold a general membership meeting at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at Our Lady of Lourdes Community Center, 750 San Salvador Drive, Dunedin.

Membership is open to women of any age who have Italian ancestry and are interested in supporting Italian culture and heritage.
