Sushi Showdown feeds aquarium programs

By Times Staff Writer
Published August 11, 2005

Sushi lovers can nosh on creations by some of the Tampa Bay area's best sushi masters as they stroll amid the aquatic displays at the Florida Aquarium tonight. The menu also includes other Asian cuisine, plus sake, beer and wine.

The evening, which will include martial arts and tae kwon do demonstrations, raises money for veterinary and education programs at the aquarium. But leave the children at home. This is an adults-only event.

The Sushi Showdown is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at the Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa. $60. 813 273-4568 or www.flaquarium.org
