DEVELOPER: High Point Development

DESCRIPTION: Nine townhouses in two three-story buildings. Units range from 2,200 to 3,400 square feet. Each has three bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms, or four bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms. The architecture features modern angular entry portals clad in copper and recessed windows divided by asymmetrical panes.

PRICE: $489,000 to $699,000

ARCHITECT: Rojo Architecture in Tampa

AMENITIES: Hand-blown Italian glass light fixtures; Jacuzzi tubs in master bathrooms; hardwood floors; granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in kitchens; high ceilings; and two-car garage in each unit.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "There's nothing else like it in Tampa," said John Saldana of Rojo Architecture, calling Cityhomes' architecture a blend of Neo-Plasticism and Bauhaus styles. "As the city grows up, the city needs to be exposed to these new expressions, instead of just the Mediterranean and bungalow."

TIMELINE: Construction started in May and should be done by March.
