According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, at 1:44 a.m., a man forced open the door to an apartment in the Manhattan Palms complex, 7210 Manhattan Ave.

The robber then held a black semiautomatic pistol to the 37-year-old victim's head, demanded money and tried to hit the victim in the head with the gun. The victim blocked the hit, cutting his hand, authorities said.

The robber then pushed the 33-year-old victim to the floor, took $90 from his wallet and ran off, authorities said.
