Deputies say four home burglaries likely linked

By Times Staff Writer

NEW PORT RICHEY - Four homes within a 1-mile radius were broken into Tuesday and Wednesday, Pasco sheriff's deputies said, and those burglaries appear to be connected.

Each residence has well-concealed entry points or wooden fencing at the rear of the property, deputies said. And it appears the burglar or burglars might look for homes without cars in the driveway, knock on the residence's door, then enter at the rear of the house, deputies said.

The burglaries, which took place on 13th Avenue, Cook Street, Shell Drive and Trouble Creek Road, appear to have occurred during the daytime, deputies said.

Once inside the residence, the master bedroom area is the first destination, and little outside the master bedroom, in all but one of the cases, was disturbed.

Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office tips line at 1-800-706-2488.
