ADAMS MIDDLE SCHOOL, 975-7665: School pictures will be taken throughout the day on Monday.
Progress reports will be distributed Sept. 6.
Parent conference night will be Sept. 8 from 4:30-8 p.m.
BAYCREST ELEMENTARY, 872-5382: The volunteer orientation will be from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the media center.
An open house is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
A business partnership breakfast is planned at 8:30-9:30 a.m. Aug. 30 in the cafeteria. This is an opportunity for local businesses that would like to support Bellamy to come in and discuss ways to partner with the school.
BELLAMY ELEMENTARY, 972-5387: A grandparents day will be Sept. 9.
BRYANT ELEMENTARY, 356-1645: The first PTA general assembly meeting of the year has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. this Thursday. It was previously on Tuesday. A short, G-rated movie will be shown in the media center during the meeting for kids.
Dads interested in participating in their child's education can join the Dad's Club. The next meeting will be 7 p.m. Sept. 7.
A business partner and volunteer breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 1.
CARROLLWOOD ELEMENTARY, 975-7640: A cultural arts fair is scheduled Nov. 6.
CHILES ELEMENTARY, 558-5422: The goal for the fall fundraiser is $13,000, to be raised through donations only. It will run from this Monday through Sept. 2, with the proceeds to buy outside play equipment, as well as for two aides to supervise children for playtime after lunch. This will be the only PTA fundraiser for this fall.
Submit entries now for the second year of Scribbles, Chiles' literary magazine. Students can join the club to learn about creative writing, listen to guest speakers, work on projects or evaluate submissions, as well as submit their own work. There is no fee to join, and the magazine will be available in the office for $3.
The room representative meeting will be at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria Thursday.
The PTA general assembly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, with dinner at 6:30 p.m. New school superintendent MaryEllen Elia will be the special guest.
CLAYWELL ELEMENTARY, 975-6941: A PTA board meeting is planned Sept. 6 at 8:30 a.m.
HUNTER'S GREEN ELEMENTARY, 973-7394: The school is seeking lunch room volunteers for one to two hours weekly or biweekly.
Donations of old or used laser and ink jet printer cartridges are being accepted to benefit the fifth-grade celebration.
Send in gently used uniform pants and shirts to help out less fortunate students.
LAKE MAGDALENE ELEMENTARY, 975-7625: Dads interested in getting involved in their children's education can join the Dad's Club. Past activities include helping out with school picnics and festivals, assisting with the Holiday Outreach program, soliciting donations and helping out with the spring golf tournament fundraiser.
MCKITRICK ELEMENTARY, 558-5427: The home room parent meeting will be 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
An SAC meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the media center.
The homeroom parent orientation will be 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the media center.
A tutor workshop for parents interested in tutoring will be offered at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
MILES ELEMENTARY, 975-7337: The open house will be Tuesday and will feature information about Boy Scout programs.
School picture day will be Aug. 30.
The student of the month assembly will be Aug. 31 in the cafeteria.
A grandparents' breakfast is scheduled Sept. 9.
TAMPA PALMS ELEMENTARY, 975-7390: The PTA will be selling wrapping paper for its fundraiser this year, as well as accepting direct donations. The goal is to raise $18,000.
The chess club will begin on Aug. 29.
The PTA general assembly meeting will be Sept. 8. Members of the student council will be named at the meeting.
The PTA is having a school supply drive for Tampa Palms sister school, Witter Elementary. Supplies will be collected in front of the school from Sept. 12-16.
The school is seeking volunteer tutors.
