Seminar on tap for small firms

ST. PETERSBURG - The Service Corps of Retired Executives is holding a seminar Sept. 17 for small businesses to help them "thrive, not just survive."

Scheduled speakers include SCORE members, representatives from legal and accounting firms, and Ron Hill, dean of the University of South Florida's business school. Exhibit space for businesses is available.

The seminar runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at USF St. Petersburg, 140 Seventh Ave. S, Davis Hall, Room 130.

The registration fee is $50, with $25 for each additional member of the same business. The deadline is Sept. 2.

The city of St. Petersburg, its Business Assistance Center, USF and Bank of America also are involved in the seminar.
