Unitarians pick interim leader

By Times Staff Writer
Published August 24, 2005

The Unitarian Universalist Church of St. Petersburg has hired an interim minister for the 2005-06 church year.

The Rev. Elizabeth "Liz" Brown has replaced the congregation's two part-time ministers, the Rev. Suzanne Nazian and the Rev. Alexander Craig, who have moved on to other assignments. Part of her job will be to help prepare the church for a new minister and to help it grow and plan its future.

Brown has served at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in College Station, Texas, with the Campus Ministry Association for Texas A&M University and ministries around the country.

The congregation will welcome her officially during its annual Homecoming Celebration luncheon and reception on Sept. 4, after the 11 a.m. service.

The church is located at 719 Arlington Ave. N.
