FISH AND PICKIN': The Istachatta General Store, 28198 Magnon Drive, Istachatta, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry and concert beginning at 4 p.m. today. The dinner menu includes fish or chicken, baked beans, grits, cole slaw, hush puppies and tea or coffee. The cost is $6.50 if reserved in advance; $7.50 at the door. LABOR DAY GRASS: The Sertoma Youth Ranch will present its annual Labor Day Bluegrass Festival, Sept. 2-4. The ranch is in southeast Hernando County, on Myers Road. Performers include Williams and Clark Expedition, the Flint River Boys, Blue Moon Rising, the Gillis Brothers, Jeanette Williams, Tater Hill, the Sawgrass Drifters, Scattered Grass and Swinging Bridge. OLDIES SHOW: The Hernando Beach Club, 3145 Flamingo Blvd., Hernando Beach, will present the musical celebration "Yester-Year Review" at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 featuring Tru Passion (Jo-Rae & Bob). BAND SHELL BASH: Brooksville's September Band Shell Bash will feature local country musicians Jenny Rimmer and Brian Chytka, Pat Golden, Crazy Heart, and the Kevin Longhorn Band. The bash will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Hernando Park band shell on Fort Dade Avenue in downtown Brooksville.
