Robert Allen, Hudson

HUDSON - Like the Incredible Hulk, Robert Allen undergoes a transformation when he's angry.
"If I can (upset) him," Hudson coach Mark Nash said, "there's nobody in the county he can't dominate."
Allen, a 6-foot-4, 340-pound senior tackle and nose guard, toyed with opposing linemen during the first halves of games last season but sometimes eased up in the second halves for fear of hurting them.
Breaking him of the habit has been a full-time job.
"He has dominating potential, and he has dominated on the field," Nash said. "He just has not reached his full potential."
His mild temperament aside, Allen's size and athleticism have caught the attention of Division I schools. He aroused Florida's curiosity when he attended the Gators' camp, and South Florida showed similar interest during the Bulls' Senior Day.
Allen is most comfortable at tackle, where he could play at a smaller Division I school such as USF or Florida Atlantic, Nash said. If Allen signs with a bigger school, it likely will be at guard because he lacks the height and reach to block a speed rusher off the edge.
It should be a fairly easy transition. Playing guard for a college program would be similar to playing tackle at Hudson because the Cobras' offense requires more drive blocking than dropback pass protection, Nash said.
Wherever Allen plays, Nash has little doubt about his potential.
"I think he's a Division I player all day," Nash said.
