Real estate boom includes number of book titles

By HELEN HUNTLEY
Published August 29, 2005

Is there a housing bubble? Maybe. Real estate book bubble? Most definitely. Amazon.com now lists 16,177 publications with the words "real estate" in the title. A whopping 143 of those titles also contain the word "million" or "millionaire," just in case you had any doubt about the objective.

There are books about cash flow, foreclosures, property flipping, tax liens, leases and appraisals. There are books with tips for becoming a landlord or a real estate agent.

Are You Missing the Real Estate Boom? they ask. Want to know the millionaire investor's tax secrets, financing secrets or just plain secrets for How to Become Wealthy in Your Spare Time? For those who think bigger, there's Trump Strategies for Real Estate: Billionaire Lessons for the Small Investor.

There doesn't appear to be a blockbuster in the bunch; you won't find any of them challenging The DaVinci Code on current bestseller lists. Among the more popular titles are The ABC's of Real Estate Investing by Ken McElroy, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, both by Gary Keller, and Investing in Real Estate by Andrew James McLean and Gary Eldred.
