Officials identify victim of motorcycle accident

PINELLAS PARK - The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash Friday in Tampa has been identified as Brian Bader, 47, of 8500 Belcher Road in Pinellas Park.

Bader was driving a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle in the center lane of Interstate 275 south of Kennedy Boulevard when he lost control, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Bader was pronounced dead at the scene.

Expect traffic detours near Treasure Island drawbridge

The Treasure Island Causeway drawbridge will be closed to traffic Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for concrete pier pours.

Westbound traffic will detour at 79th Street to Causeway Boulevard. Eastbound causeway traffic will detour at Paradise Boulevard, except for local traffic, to the Treasure Island Yacht Club. Detour routes to and from Treasure Island are the Madeira Beach Causeway to the north and the Corey Causeway in St. Pete Beach to the south.

The Treasure Island Causeway will be operational for boats that need an opening.

Bridge opening times are on the hour, 20 minutes past the hour and 40 minutes past the hour between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The bridge opens on demand from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
