BROOKSVILLE - A Brooksville woman was searching Wednesday evening for her 7-foot female pet boa constrictor, which disappeared from a shed sometime Wednesday morning.

Shannon Trivett said her snake, named Ashley, was no threat to humans but could eat small pets such as young kittens or puppies up to about 11/2 pounds. The boa vanished from Trivett's home on Fort Dade Avenue, near Estates Avenue on the city's west side. Trivett asked that anyone who sees the snake call her at (325) 585-7534.
